Gui Fieri’s first Italian restaurant to open at Ohio racino

Early next month, Guy Fieri’s new Columbus restaurant will open its doors to the people of Columbus. According to a press release, Guy Fieri’s Trattoria will open to the public on June 2. The eatery is inside of the El Dorado Scioto Downs, which is located at 6000 S. High St.

The mayor of Flavortown himself will be present on May 30 for a VIP event, which will also serve as the concept’s ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new eatery will offer diners spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, chicken parmigiana, a “68-layer homemade lasagna,” and more.

“Being from an Italian family, classic Italian American fare has always been part of my life and I’m stoked to bring those real deal flavors to Scioto Downs,” Fieri said in a press release earlier this year.
